Caney de Felo

ICaney de Felon Venezuela, a"caney" is a kind of hut that people use for parties and social gatherings, and usually found in their gardens. At El Caney de Felo you can enjoy a delicious Venezuelan barbecue at a very low price.

We especially recommend the mixed grill that consists of a plate filled with beef, chicken and "morcillas" (blood sausage) with a side order of "yuca" (cassava, manioc), "hallaquitas" (corn buns) and queso de mano (typical white cheese).

Barbacue restaurantYou can also ask for a little bit of everything: fried yuca, hallaquitas, queso de mano, nata (cream), morcilla carupanera and of course meat. They also sell barbecue chicken to eat in or to take away.

El Caney de Felo is open every day at noon and in the evening. It is located on the road that runs from Los Robles to La Asuncion.

Guasacaca (typical Venezuelan barbecue sauce recipe)

Restaurant1 small ripe avocado chopped thinly
2 small tomatoes chopped in small cubes
1 chopped onion
1 small pepper chopped in small cubes
Chopped coriander
2 cloves of garlic chopped
Salt and pepper
Oil, vinegar, and 1 aji dulce (Venezuelan chili) for those who like spicy food.

Mix together all the ingredient, and then let the mixture sit in the fridge for a few hours.
